1. Tarantulas

Many of us know spider, that reside in every part of our home they are normally seen in small size, but you may not have heard about another species of this family called Tarantula large hairy that is usually dangerous and quite big enough than the normal one we see. They are quite aggressive and poisonous as their venom is weaker than the bee’s. They vary in color according to the environment and generally found on the ground and forest. Like other spiders Tarantula doesn’t use their web to prey the insects that normal spiders do.

The Tarantula spins a trip wire of signal that alert when some thing come near to it, Tarantula inject the venom in the insect and suck them through their straw like mouth. There exists hundred of tarantula species that can be found in the tropical, subtropical and arid regions.


2. Rats

Many people know Rats that are found mostly where the food grains are store, they usually found in the tunnels, drainage, sewer areas and associate with many dirt and disease. They are various in sizes such as medium, long tailed rodents, black rats that are Rattus and brown rat, many of these rats belongs to rat’s family and share many characteristics.

Rats are generally large called rodents while the other one such as Mice generally from a small muroid family. This muroid family is found to be very large and complex. When someone see the rodents, or mice they called it as a rat. Many people have phobia about the rat and its species.


3. Hissing Cockroaches

In your daily work you may have seen cockroach that is scurrying around your home. But this class of cockroach is different, as the name says Hissing. This one is found in Madagascar and it is not the ordinary cockroach it grow 3 inches long and an inch wide in sizes. They are not hard and do not bite, they are interesting in looking and are very slow and calm that can catch anybody eye and easy to handle as well. When you try to catch them or disturbed them they make a hissing noise, hence they got the name hissing cockroaches, and this fact make them unusual creature.


4. Frogs

Everyone has heard about the frog, you will find them in many different colors and sizes they are typically found in your backyard, in the potholes, in the mud, water etc they are characterized by short body and long legs and absence of the tail. Many a time you may have seen the frog in the water they absorb water and oxygen through their skin, hence the frog skin can result in water loss.

There are some frogs that changes colors during the day and night time. Some Frogs contains poisonous toxic that make them disgusting to some predators. All toads frogs have poison glands the paratoid gland situated behind their eyes on the top of the head. Some poison dart frogs contains high level of toxic that may affect to human being.


5. Scorpions

There are about 2000 species of scorpions that is normally found in the south of New Zealand. The sheppey in U.K the northernmost part of the world where scorpions live in the wild forest, there exist many different types of species of scorpions on the earth. They grow upto 6 inches long and have long threatening claws and a stinger that is highly venomous.

Majority species of scorpions possess venom to kill or paralyze their insects such that they can be eaten. They are fast reacting, around 50 species of the scorpion produces venom that is poisonous for humans. Scorpions are hardly aggressive for the humans they often bite when handled, stepped on or found in clothing. They normally found in the backyard, in wood, thatched roofs, in concrete, under the stones. Footwear and clothing left outside overnight can be a common shelter place for the scorpions.


6. Giant Millipedes

Giant millipedes commonly known as chilognahta range from 2 to 280 millimeters in length generally not having 1000 legs but do have upto 400 legs and that are measured upto 10 inches long when they are fully grown. They generally have two pairs of legs per section the first section is behind the head and the next section has one pair of legs. Most millipedes have stretched out cylindrical bodies that are shorter and can roll like a ball.

The millipedes are slow moving and lives by eating dead and rotten leaves small arthropods such as earthworm and insects. However, they can cause severe damages to developing seeds and vegetation. The largest species of this family is the giant African millipede which can move speedily and consist of only one pair of legs for each segment. There exists 10,000 species of this class, because of their non aggressive nature, slow moving and lives on simple diet of eating leaves and small insects they are quite unusual to see.


7. Lizards

Lizards are the most fascinating creatures on the earth that can be seen at every part such as in home, in the wood, on the walls, trees, stones and many other places. There are nearly 5000 species across the continents from the different families of reptiles. Lizards have limbs and ears and moves very quickly when disturbed and normally grows in 5 to 6 inches long. They live by normally eating small insects such as flies, cockroaches, mosquitoes and other insects. There are many different kinds of lizard species that can change color according to the environment.

Many species of lizards separate their tails in order to get escape from the predators. Some other form of this class such as chameleons and geckos grow upto three meters. Most lizards are harmless to human being, these lizards are not generally deadly and do not posses toxic venom and do not usually kill humans but their bite can be very painful because of their jaws. There exist other species such as the Komodo dragon can grow to large size and it can attack and kill humans.


8. Stick Insects

Stick insects are normally called as walking sticks they look like branches, brushwood, leaves on which they generally live this keeps them hidden from any predators. There are about 3000 species ranges in different sizes such as tiny, half inch long found in north America and 13 inch long found in Borneo. Some the giant stick insect measure upto 21 inches. Because of it’s stretched out legs they are commonly found the world’s longest insect on the earth.

They make protects themselves by blending them with the environment. Several species of stick insects found in the tropics and subtropics and live in forest and grasslands where they survive by eating leaves. Usually they spend their daytime, hidden under the plants and leaves.


9. Hermit Crabs

Hermit crabs are like a crab but not closely they relate to crabs they are very fun to watch when they move from one shell to another shell. Most species of hermit crabs are having a long soft abdomens and it is protected around with an empty shell in which whole body of crab is retracted. When they grow in size they find the larger shell to leave the previous one.

There are normally five hundred species of the hermit crab in the world from which most are aquatic and live in the deep salted water to the sea bottoms. In the tropical there are number of species that are terrestrial and some of them are quite large enough such as the Caribbean hermit crab is known to climbs the trees. As they live in water their connection to water never breaks because the hermit crab always carry small amount of water in their shells all the time to keep their abdomen wet and gills hydrated.


10. Snakes

Snakes many people know about snakes as people are having a fear about the snakes. Snakes belong to the reptile family this includes crocodiles, lizards and tortoise. Snakes are thin, long and do not have legs and slides along the ground. There are about 2,800 species of snakes around the world they found almost every part of the world. They have flexible body and move fast on the ground there are some species of snakes that live in water and other species commonly found in the forest, mountains, deserts, water, lakes and many other places.

Snakes body is covered with dry scales and its eyes are covered by scales rather than eyelids therefore their eyes are always open, they use their fork tongue to get the odors by the special sense organs in the mouth. Some few areas where snakes are not found is in the Polar Regions because they cannot live in the places where the surface is frozen

Snakes ranges in several sizes and colors such as 8 feet long snake to 25 feet long pythons and anacondas. As snakes are found to be the deadly species on the earth they use their highly venom to kill or paralyze the predator or humans, but from all the species of snakes most of the species are non-venomous and some of them are venomous such that they use the venom for self defense some highly venomous snakes may even cause severe attack or even death to humans.
